Hi and thanks for visiting my Web page.
My name is Dave Robinson, and pandemic aside, this year has been a special one for me.
For starters I turned 50, but more importantly, I’ve gone it alone and started my own business.
In a year where a lot of companies are going bust, many might think it’s a risky thing to do. But I’ve always been a bit of a risk taker (I ride a motorbike for kicks) and as an electrician, I really did get that “light bulb” movement.
Let me explain. I was working for the CBRE Group, the largest commercial real estate company in the world, and had reached the dizzy heights of contracts manager. But I missed getting my hands dirty, and one day it hit me that I needed to make changes.
So I set CFM Electrical Services up back in July 2019, and it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made.
So far I’ve done lots of outside lights,hot-tubs and sockets, to full house rewires, and work is coming in from all over Yorkshire and further afield. I’ve been an electrician for over 30 years, and Bradford and Newcastle Colleges are among those I have worked for.
In January I’m going on an Electrical Vehicle Charger course, because the future is electric cars, and before long most homes will need an electric charger outside.
I keep up with current regulations and insurance requirements.
I live in Savile Park, Halifax, with my wife, Susan, and we have five children, two grandchildren and a beautiful bulldog called Angus. Work aside, I’m a big rugby league fan, and nothing beats standing on the terrace cheering The Halifax Panthers on.
Thanks for reading .
